Of course, if you plan to sell products on eBay or Amazon, you may want to test your supplier once in advance to see how quickly they ship out your orders. Personally, I advertised products on both eBay and Amazon am very pleased with both platforms.

In fact, with eBay or Amazon or Yahoo! Stores, beginners can easily jump right in and begin selling products online. Little to no HTML knowledge is required to begin posting products for sale onto these websites. In my experience, eBay is probably the easiest platform for new e-commerce entrepreneurs to dive right in and begin making sales. Amazon is probably second, although the commissions on Amazon sometimes feel a little steep. Yahoo! Stores takes the lowest commission off the three but is also slightly more difficult and time consuming to set up. Yahoo! Stores also differs from eBay and Amazon because with Yahoo, you are actually creating your own, stand alone e-commerce website.

Just remember to it slow and don't just dive in and begin posting products for sale. Try to check out what is selling in eBay or Amazon before determing what DVDs or computers or instruments, etc., you think you can sell. The mistake a lot of newcomers make is that they do not do their homework. Getting a feel for the market and popular trends can provide valuable insight into the current e-commerce market.
